A lot of people ask me, “So… what’s your dream?”
And honestly, every time I hear that question, I feel like I’m answering to an out of syllabus question. I just blabber something for the sake of answering.
But here’s the truth: for the longest time, I didn’t have a dream. Not the “I want to be an astronaut” kind, not even the “I want to own a sea-facing villa” kind. I was just… existing. Going with the flow.
Then, one fine day, somewhere between a cup of coffee and a moment of an advice from my mentor, I got into spirituality. And guess what? That’s when I finally found my dream. No, it wasn’t enlightenment, a million followers, or floating mid-air while chanting “Om.”
My dream is simple, to wake up tomorrow morning.
Sounds funny, right?
But think about it, how often do we actually dream of something that simple, that real?
Most of us spend our time chasing future versions of ourselves, the fitter version, the richer version, the more successful, more admired, more “Instagrammable” version.
We hustle, we plan, we save, we scroll motivational quotes till 2 AM, but somewhere in all that noise, we forget to live the only thing that’s actually real, today.
Imagine if tomorrow doesn’t come, all those “someday I’ll be happy” goals just vanish like expired coupons. What’s the point of dreaming about becoming “something” when we might not even wake up to see it?
Now don’t get me wrong, dreaming big is beautiful. It gives you direction. But dreaming deep, that’s something else. Dreaming to wake up tomorrow, healthy, smiling, grateful, that’s the real jackpot. Because everything else, the car, the fame, the career, the followers, only exists after you open your eyes in the morning. So tonight, before you sleep, don’t just dream of being a billionaire, a CEO, or a superstar.
Dream of waking up.
Dream of seeing the sunrise.
Dream of feeling the breeze, sipping your coffee, and realising, “Hey, I made it to another day!”
Because, ‘waking up in the morning’ is the miracle we keep missing all the time.
